Reviewing Jurassic Park (1993)
Jurassic Park Official Trailer #1 - Steven Spielberg Movie (1993) HD
Director: Steven Spielberg
Producer: Kathleen Kennedy & Gerald R. Molen
Writers: Michael Crichton & David Koepp
When I was about 4-5 years old, my dad put on a film in our living room. It was a film that was simultaneously filled with wonder and terror in a way that I don’t think I’ve ever found since. It was big. It was game-changing. It was… Jurassic Park. Adapted from the novel by co-writer Michael Crichton, director Steven Spielberg blends his trademark sense of wonder and imagination with Hitchcockian suspense to tell the story of a CEO whose goal to create a filled with cloned dinosaurs results in mayhem. Everyone in this movie is played brilliantly, and with careful blending of CGI and animatronics, the dinosaurs are as much characters as their human counterparts. There are so few blockbusters I could think of that perfectly blend well-thought-out storytelling with audience-pleasing entertainment. This film, however, is one of them.
